Plain language, no surprises. Using the site means accepting these terms.
1. What this service is
UtilTools provides free browser-based utilities at utiltools.work. All processing happens in your browser on your own device. We do not receive, store or process the content you put into any tool.
2. Use at your own risk
The tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. You are responsible for checking that a result is correct before relying on it.
This matters in specific places. Compression tools trade quality for size and the result may not suit your purpose. Conversion tools may not reproduce every feature of a source format. Calculators implement published formulas that carry their own assumptions and error ranges — health calculators in particular are estimates and never medical advice. Encryption tools protect nothing if the passphrase is weak or lost.
3. Keep your own copies
Because nothing is uploaded, nothing is backed up. If a tool produces a result you need, download and save it. We cannot recover anything, ever, for anyone, including you.
4. Your files remain yours
You keep all rights in everything you process here. We claim no licence over it — a trivial statement, since we never receive it.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use these tools to break the law. Specifically: do not use Remove PDF Password on documents you are not authorised to open; do not use the image tools to create material that is illegal to produce or possess; do not use the generators to impersonate anyone; do not attempt to attack, overload or disrupt the site or its infrastructure.
6. Intellectual property
The UtilTools name, wordmark, tool catalog and written editorial content are the property of Gabriel Masson. All rights reserved.
7. Advertising and measurement
There is no advertising on this site and no third-party measurement. If that changes, this section and the Privacy page will say so before it happens.
8. Third-party links
Pages may link to third-party sites, including affiliate links on the Partners page. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their products or their privacy practices.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gabriel Masson and UtilTools are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, revenue or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the site. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the service, which is zero.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
10. Availability and changes
The site may be modified, interrupted or discontinued at any time without notice. Tools may be added, changed or removed. Because everything runs on your device, a tool page you have already loaded keeps working offline even if the site goes away.
11. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated. The current version is always at this URL with its last-updated date at the bottom. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting it.
12. Severability
If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in full effect.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, and the courts of the domicile of Gabriel Masson have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you have where you live.
