Questions about QR Code Generator

Will this QR code expire?
No. Your data is encoded into the pattern itself, so the code works as long as the destination does. Many "free" generators encode a short link on their own domain instead — those stop working when the service does, and every scan is logged.
What is error correction and which level should I use?
Redundancy that lets a damaged or partly covered code still scan. L recovers about 7%, M 15%, Q 25% and H 30%. Use M for screens, H if you are putting a logo in the middle or printing on something that will get scuffed.
How do WiFi QR codes work?
They encode a WIFI: string with the network name, security type and password. Phones parse it and offer to join. The password is in the code in plain text, so treat a printed WiFi QR like a written-down password.
How much data fits into one QR code?
The format tops out near 4,296 alphanumeric characters, but a long payload makes the grid dense and much harder to scan from a distance or at small print sizes. Keep URLs under about 100 characters and put long text on a page you link to instead.
Can I change where the code points after it is printed?
No. The destination is part of the pattern, which is exactly why it cannot expire. Dynamic QR codes can be re-pointed, but only because every scan passes through the provider's server first — you gain editability and lose the guarantee that the code outlives the company.
Is QR Code Generator really free, with no limits?
Yes. There is no account, no daily cap, no file-size tier and no watermark, because there is no server cost to recover. The site is funded by clearly disclosed partner recommendations on the Partners page, never by metering the tools.
Are my files or text uploaded when I use QR Code Generator?
