Questions about Dice Roller

Which notation is supported?
Standard dice notation: NdX with + and − modifiers, kh/kl to keep highest or lowest, ! for exploding dice, and adv/dis shortcuts for d20 advantage and disadvantage.
Are the rolls really fair?
They come from the operating system CSPRNG with rejection sampling, so each face is exactly equally likely. That is fairer than most physical dice, which have measurable bias from their manufacturing.
Does it work without internet?
Yes — install it as an app and it rolls with no connection, which matters in a basement game room.
How many dice can I roll at once?
Up to 1,000 dice of up to 1,000 sides each in one expression, which covers anything a tabletop game is likely to ask for. The last 40 rolls stay in the history, so a disputed result can be checked rather than argued about.
Can the rest of the table see my roll?
Only if you show them. You can copy a roll — every die and the total — and paste it into whatever chat you are using, but there is no shared room and no live session. Two people opening this page roll independently, and nothing is synchronised between devices.
Is Dice Roller really free, with no limits?
Yes. There is no account, no daily cap, no file-size tier and no watermark, because there is no server cost to recover. The site is funded by clearly disclosed partner recommendations on the Partners page, never by metering the tools.
Are my files or text uploaded when I use Dice Roller?
No. Everything is processed by JavaScript running in your browser, on your device. You can verify it: open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and use the tool. You will see no request carrying your data — because there is nowhere for it to go.
