Questions about Email Extractor
Does it find addresses written to avoid scrapers?
Not reliably, and that is intentional. Forms like "name at example dot com" are written specifically so that automated collection fails. The tool matches genuine addresses in the text you already have; it is for tidying a list you were given, not for harvesting.
Why filter by domain?
To separate internal from external recipients before sending anything, which is the check that stops a message meant for colleagues going to clients. It is also the quickest way to pull one company’s contacts out of a mixed list.
Is extracting addresses from a document legal?
Extracting from a document you already hold is a technical operation, but what you do next is governed by data protection law and by anti-spam rules. Under the GDPR and the LGPD you need a lawful basis to contact people. This tool takes no position on your list; it is your responsibility.
Are the addresses sent anywhere?
No. Matching happens in the tab and the results stay there. Given that the input is usually a document containing other people’s contact details, uploading it to a web service would be the wrong way round.
Why are some odd-looking addresses included?
Valid addresses can look strange: plus signs, dots and long unusual top-level domains are all legitimate. Matching errs towards including something unusual and letting you scan the list, rather than quietly dropping a real address.
Is Email Extractor really free, with no limits?
Yes. There is no account, no daily cap, no file-size tier and no watermark, because there is no server cost to recover. The site is funded by clearly disclosed partner recommendations on the Partners page, never by metering the tools.
Are my files or text uploaded when I use Email Extractor?
No. Everything is processed by JavaScript running in your browser, on your device. You can verify it: open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and use the tool. You will see no request carrying your data — because there is nowhere for it to go.
