Running Pace Calculator
Pace, time and distance for runners.
Running Pace Calculator solves for whichever of pace, time or distance you are missing, in minutes per kilometre or per mile, and prints split times for every kilometre or mile of the race. Standard race distances from 5K to marathon are one click away. It works offline on your phone.

Questions about Running Pace Calculator
Can it predict my time at another distance?
It offers the Riegel formula, which scales a known race time by distance with an endurance exponent. It is reasonable for nearby distances — a 10K from a 5K — and increasingly optimistic as you extrapolate towards a marathon from short races.
What is negative splitting?
Running the second half slightly faster than the first. The split table can generate an even, positive or negative split plan so you can print or memorise a target for each kilometre.
Metric or imperial?
Both, switchable at any time, with pace shown in min/km and min/mi simultaneously so you can read whichever your watch is set to.
Does it allow for hills, heat or altitude?
No. It is arithmetic on pace, time and distance, so it assumes even conditions throughout. A hilly course, a headwind or a hot day can move a real finish by several minutes against a flat-course plan, and nothing here adjusts for that.
Can I use it for walking, cycling or swimming?
The relationship between pace, time and distance is the same for any of them, so the core calculation holds. Speed is shown in km/h and mph alongside the pace, which is how cycling is usually discussed. The presets and split tables, though, are built around running race distances.
Is Running Pace Calculator really free, with no limits?
Yes. There is no account, no daily cap, no file-size tier and no watermark, because there is no server cost to recover. The site is funded by clearly disclosed partner recommendations on the Partners page, never by metering the tools.
Are my files or text uploaded when I use Running Pace Calculator?
No. Everything is processed by JavaScript running in your browser, on your device. You can verify it: open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and use the tool. You will see no request carrying your data — because there is nowhere for it to go.
