Pomodoro Timer

Focus intervals with breaks, and a session count.

Pomodoro Timer runs the focus-and-break cycle: 25 minutes of work, a 5-minute break, and a longer break every fourth round, with every interval adjustable. It tracks completed sessions for the day locally, and the tab title shows the remaining time so you can see it from another tab.

Questions about Pomodoro Timer

What is the Pomodoro Technique?
A time-management method from the late 1980s: work in fixed uninterrupted intervals — traditionally 25 minutes — separated by short breaks, with a longer break every four. The point is the enforced break and the removal of the decision about when to stop.
Are my sessions stored anywhere?
Only in this browser, on this device. There is no account, no streak leaderboard and no sync, which also means nothing to lose when you close the tab.
Can I change the intervals?
Yes, all three — focus, short break and long break — plus how many rounds before a long break. Fixed 25/5 works for some people and not others.
Do I need to install anything or sign up?
No. The page is the whole tool: no account, no extension, no download, and it keeps working offline once loaded. The trade-off is that the session count lives in this browser only and does not follow you to another device.
What happens if I close the tab during a focus session?
That interval stops and is not counted, since nothing runs outside the page. Sessions already completed stay recorded in this browser, so the running total for the day survives a reload.
Is Pomodoro Timer really free, with no limits?
Yes. There is no account, no daily cap, no file-size tier and no watermark, because there is no server cost to recover. The site is funded by clearly disclosed partner recommendations on the Partners page, never by metering the tools.
Are my files or text uploaded when I use Pomodoro Timer?
No. Everything is processed by JavaScript running in your browser, on your device. You can verify it: open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and use the tool. You will see no request carrying your data — because there is nowhere for it to go.
