Compound Interest Calculator
Growth over time, with regular contributions.
Compound Interest Calculator projects how a balance grows from an initial amount, a periodic contribution, an annual rate and a compounding frequency. It separates what you put in from what the interest added, year by year, and shows the inflation-adjusted value too. Nothing is transmitted.

Questions about Compound Interest Calculator
How much does compounding frequency matter?
Less than most people expect. At 7% a year, monthly compounding beats annual by roughly 0.23 percentage points of effective yield. The contribution amount and the number of years dominate everything else.
Should I use a nominal or a real rate?
Enter the nominal rate and turn on inflation adjustment to see purchasing power. A 7% nominal return with 3% inflation is about 3.9% real — and it is the real number that tells you what the money will buy.
Are taxes included?
No. This is pre-tax growth. Tax treatment depends entirely on your country, your account type and your income, and any calculator that pretends otherwise is guessing.
Which compounding frequencies can I pick?
Daily, monthly, quarterly, semi-annually and annually. Daily is the right choice for most savings accounts; annually matches how bond and index returns are usually quoted. The effective yield is shown so you can compare accounts advertised on different bases.
Does it model a variable return, or a bad year?
No. It applies one constant rate for the whole term, which is a smooth curve, not what markets do. Real returns arrive unevenly and the order of good and bad years matters once you are withdrawing. Treat the projection as an average case, and run it again at a lower rate to see the downside.
Is Compound Interest Calculator really free, with no limits?
Yes. There is no account, no daily cap, no file-size tier and no watermark, because there is no server cost to recover. The site is funded by clearly disclosed partner recommendations on the Partners page, never by metering the tools.
Are my files or text uploaded when I use Compound Interest Calculator?
No. Everything is processed by JavaScript running in your browser, on your device. You can verify it: open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and use the tool. You will see no request carrying your data — because there is nowhere for it to go.
