Does this guarantee my application is accepted?
No, and be careful with any tool that claims it does. It gets the dimensions, aspect ratio, DPI and file size right. Head position, background colour, expression, glasses and lighting are judged by the issuing authority, and the rules differ by country.
Which presets are included?
US/Canada 2x2in, UK/EU/Schengen 35x45mm, India 51x51mm and 35x45mm, Australia 35x45mm, China 33x48mm, Japan 35x45mm, plus a custom mode in millimetres, inches or pixels with a DPI setting.
How do I hit an exact KB limit?
Enter it. The tool binary-searches the JPEG quality until the file fits, the same technique as Compress Image to Exact KB, since ID portals routinely cap uploads at 20-50 KB.
Does it remove or whiten the background?
No. It crops, scales, sets the DPI and compresses — it does not cut you out of the picture or clean up the wall behind you. Photograph yourself against a plain, evenly lit light background first, because shadows on the backdrop are one of the most common rejection reasons.
Can it produce the separate signature file some portals ask for?
Not in this tool. Exam and visa portals often want a signature image with its own pixel and KB limits — Signature Maker will draw or tidy one up, and Compress Image to Exact KB brings it under the byte limit the instructions give.
