Questions about Working Days Calculator
Is the start date counted?
When counting between two dates the start day is excluded and the end day included, which matches how notice periods and payment terms are normally read. When adding days to find a deadline, counting begins the following working day. Both are stated on screen so there is no doubt.
Why can I change which days are the weekend?
Because Saturday and Sunday is not universal. Much of the Middle East works Sunday to Thursday, and some contracts define a working week differently again. A calculator that assumes a Western weekend gives the wrong answer for a large part of the world.
Are public holidays included automatically?
There are presets to start from, but you should check them against your own calendar. Holidays move, regions within a country differ, and company closure days are not public holidays at all. You can paste your own list, which is the reliable approach for anything contractual.
Can I use this for a legal or contractual deadline?
Use it to do the arithmetic, not to interpret the contract. Terms differ on whether days are calendar or business, whether the deadline moves when it falls on a holiday, and which jurisdiction’s holidays apply. Read the clause, then count.
Does it work across a leap year or a year boundary?
Yes. Dates are handled as real calendar dates rather than by multiplying, so leap days, month lengths and year boundaries are all correct.
Is Working Days Calculator really free, with no limits?
